What is meant by shares

Equity, also known as shares or ownership interests, is used to describe units of ownership in one or more companies The owner is known as the shareholder and is entitled to receive part of the profits distributed in the company and is also entitled to vote. Shares are used in buying and selling through individuals to increase their wealth in the future and to obtain a part of ownership in companies, so when buying a share the owner seeks to keep it in the long term because if the company’s value and profits rise, the value of its shares will automatically rise.
